How Technology Hijacks People’s Minds.

This fascinating article explores the borders of manipulation of our decision-making processes. With an increasing dependence on the use of technology and applications tailored by questionable algorithms, it becomes increasingly impossible to determine whether we really have a choice or are we being forced to accept outcomes as prognosticated by information technology through our ordinary search on the internet or whatever app we are depending on. The assumption is that it appears that we have a choice, whatever Google or Bing or any search engine surfaces, but those results had a pre-determined gauge. So, are we coerced into making a selection from a very constrained range of preferences than we would like? Problem is, we no longer think that way – Google and the apps do our thinking for us. What a choice!
