Third Culture Kids.
Cross-cultural transitions especially for kids that have grown up in another country as a result of their parents’ jobs can be psychologically challenging. Some likely reactions for third culture kids (TCK) are: they probably will experience a prolonged adolescence, they may have problems relating to their own ethnic groups, and they will maintain a global dimension throughout their lives. Parents, caregivers and teachers need particular understanding in helping TCK re-orientate back to their home country. This article gives some perspective to these adjustments.
