God Persistently Seeks For Us.
The shepherd, the woman, and the father in the parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the prodigal son respectively, are indicative of God’s perennial search for us. The sheep, the coin, and the son belonged to their respective owners and father. The question in our relationship with the Lord should not be ‘how do I find God?’ but more likely ‘how do I allow God to find me?’ And hence, ‘how do I allow myself to be loved by God?’ The Lord’s persistent desire to find us amidst our worldly busy-ness is eternally compelling. When and how would we respond?
