The World Became More Violent
The world is now considered less peaceful than it was eight years ago, according to Dr David Hammond. Last year alone saw 180,000 people killed in conflicts, and more than 32,000 deaths resulting from terrorism. UNHCR reported that 60 million are refugees – the highest number since the Second World War. As it is, the economic costs are staggering.
