Harbin International Ice Snow Sculpture Festival 2018.
The 34th Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival is the world’s biggest ice and snow event, with beautifully illuminated ice and snow sculptures and ice lanterns. Quite apart from these exhibits, there are opportunities for other winter activities. The event which has become a major winter attraction is mainly based in Zhaolin Park, Sun Island, and a segment of the bank of the Songhua River. The 2018 Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival open on 24 December 2017 until 25 February 2018. Packing for winter travel to Harbin to see the world-famous Ice Lantern Festival can be difficult. All the gear it seems you’ll need to keep yourself protected from bitter winter can weigh you down, but if you leave anything behind you can sorely regret it, especially if your finances or location don’t allow you to purchase suitable replacements. The website below is just one of several tour operators who organise tours to Harbin. I am not on a commission with them but thought their site has some useful information if you are planning a trip.
