Arrested Development

Arrested Development.

If we could see beneath the surface of many a life, we would see that millions of people within the Church are suffering spiritually from ‘arrested development;’ they never reach spiritual maturity; they never do all the good they were intended to do: and this is due to the fact that at some point in their lives they refused to go further; some act of self-sacrifice was required of them, and they felt they could not and would not make it; some habit had to be given up, some personal relation altered or renounced, and they would not change their ways; they refused to take up the one step which would have opened up for them a new and vital development. They are ‘stunted souls.’
