Public Perceptions Of The Refugee Crisis

Public Perceptions Of The Refugee Crisis.

In November 2015 and January 2016, the Tent Foundation commissioned extensive and unprecedented surveys on the perception of refugees amongst the populations of eleven countries. Its aim in conducting this research was to understand the public sentiment toward refugees, and to learn what messaging could be utilised to shift public opinion toward supporting refugees. This final Report is the third, a combination of two earlier Reports.

The Tent Foundation seeks to improve the lives and livelihoods of the 65 million people who have been forcibly displaced around the world. They do this by funding direct assistance, investing in innovation, and promoting policies and partnerships to help the displaced realise their full potential. Hamdi Ulukaya, who launched The Tent Foundation in 2015, is the founder and CEO of Chobani (the famed Greek yogurt brand) and an active donor to humanitarian organisations, committing a substantial proportion of his wealth to ending the humanitarian crisis.
