Paper currencies can be beautifully crafted to become a piece of appreciable art. However, few countries pay sufficient attention and pride to a potentially crummy piece of paper in everyday use. But those who do, this article present the most attractive looking paper currencies you would ever see. Makes you want to keep them just to admire! Since 2005, the international Bank Note Society has awarded their Bank Note of the Year award to a number of countries for bills noted for their artistry and security. Among the 2016 nominations are polymer-based bills from England, Switzerland and Georgia. Last year, out of 40 eligible designs from 20 countries, the winner was New Zealand’s $5 bill showing Sir Edmund Hillary facing the South Island’s Aoraki Mount Cook, and on the reverse, a rare yellow-eyed penguin and local flora (see posted photos).
