It was a privilege to listen in on the testimonies of Timorese as well as expatriate workers and pastors at the Love Timor Consultation 2016 on the side of an assignment that I had been called on to undertake. Close to ninety participants from across denominational structures worldwide were gathered to celebrate a Kingdom approach in sharing burdens and ideas, resources and personnel, in blessing East Timor.
The Love Singapore network of churches birthed the vision for Loving Timor-Leste in May 2004, as a call by God to unite the churches in Singapore in a spirit of alliance to see the young nation rise up for the glory of God. To facilitate the vision, Transformational Alliance (TA) was formed in 2006 to provide the legal framework to work together in Timor-Leste. It was registered in 2010. TA was tasked to facilitate unity and prayer among pastors and workers in Dili and the 12 municipal districts, to raise up local spiritual leadership in the country, and to disciple the youth, who comprise 60% of the population.
