The Wall Street Journal Celebrating 40 Years in Asia.
In September 1976, when The Wall Street Journal first published its Asia edition, much of the region was an economic backwater. Four decades later, Asia is the vibrant heart of the global economy. In this heavy on graphics pictorial presentation, Editor in Chief Gerard Baker outlines Asia’s remarkable transformation, segmentized into decades and themes; the latter further into countries, politics, economy, events, people, charts and extras. I find these historical reviews quite revealing, as hindsight gives us the advantage of looking back and walking through at our own pace with God, to realise perhaps the grace and mercy available to us then, through some of the more traumatic events that had escaped our notice. Some well taken photos too!
