This five part photojournalism by Scott Anderson and Paolo Pellegrin for the New York Times Magazine paints the tragic story of the Arab world collapsing within itself, through the eyes of 6 individuals, covering Egypt, Libya, Syria, Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan. As these countries self-destruct, some more than others, their own people have endured unimaginable suffering at the hands of those who were once their friends and neighbours. The utter devastation to their way of life and survival through their respective war zones are horrific and ongoing; it is just too traumatic to watch these live reports on the media without any feelings for the innocent civilians caught in between. They need our prayers.
