Toxins in Our Food That Should Not Be There.
This article by Chris Baraniuk for the BBC alerts us to a perspective on the packaging and marketing of food that we find in all our supermarkets. The range of a single product is staggering, and it is almost impossible for our food inspectors to check the entire span and batches of products. Ingredient mislabeling is always a huge problem. So, many of these ‘not so safe items’ get into our food chain, and I surmise it is up to us to discern what is safe to consume. If in doubt, it is always safe to avoid them no matter how delectable they may be advertised.
