Some Sympathy for Attention-Seeking Narcissists.
This somewhat empathetic article by Christian Jarrett towards narcissists is refreshing to digest. Having met several in the course of my practice, narcissists seldom are willing to admit to their trait; most likely, they are blissfully unaware of the extent of their tendency and their impact on those around them. Being driven to achieve is usually a common denominator, and hence, they are often loners. To expect empathy for others when the focus is consistently on the self would be rare.
