Peacemakers after the order of Christ are an entirely different breed than those who, to avoid displeasing significant others, will do anything to “keep the peace.” Witness the scourging of the temple, or the faces of enraged religious leaders after the Prince of Peace called them dead menbones. Peacemakers after the order of Christ have reconciliation in their souls—the holy drive to bring back to oneness, to bring to peace, everything that sin has broken. In doing this they face the same consequences faced by our Lord.
