USA Food and Drug Administration Ban on Trans Fat
In 3 years, foods containing trans fat will be phased out in the United States. For all the good reasons, its timing is no surprise as the food industry had been warned since 2013 by the FDA. No doubt the repercussion of this move will have a trickle effect globally. Food and beverage industries worldwide have already been experimenting with alternative sources of oils in all forms of processed foods.
