Never Go To Bed Angry.
The Bible had a piece of sound advice, “Do not let the sun go down on your anger.” This simple warning seems to be borne out by experiments done by Yunzhe Liu at the University College London. We know that negative, especially traumatic, memories are often coded differently compared to normal memories, but to sleep on it, even after a long period of cooling down, does not diminish the impact of negative coding. Prolonged unresolved anger further impacts physiological homeostasis and may complicate future treatment too.
