Parenting Style Affects Children in Unexpected Ways.
We have known this for a while, but this brief article digs deeper into the realm of poor monitoring and supervision, and its negative effect on a child’s physiology. There is a fine line between intentionally cultivating a child’s independence and a laissez faire attitude towards his developmental process. We are aware that parental influence is usually limited to within a narrow window of a maturing life, and if a balanced caregiving style is absent, then the opportunity lost may be irrecoverable, as the adults’ influence is soon replaced by the child’s peers.
