Life Expectancy Rises Ten Years Globally But More Suffer In Old Age.

The 2016 Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study of over 300 diseases and injuries in 195 countries and territories indicated that about 70% of deaths worldwide are caused by lifestyle origins like heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and dementia, and surprisingly, childbirth in women. Life expectancy has risen in the last decade to 69 years in men and 74.8 years in women.
