Burnt Scroll Found in Ancient Holy Ark Deciphered.

2ab3660700000578-0-the_scroll_was_found_in_in_the_ruins_of_an_ancient_synagogue_in_-a-29_1437412471378Brittle and badly burnt scrolls recovered from ancient sites have been difficult to decipher simply due to their condition and age, but the well-preserved animal-skinned 6th century Ein Gedi Scroll, containing parts of the Levitical text, has finally been digitally reconstructed and translated. This collaboration was between the Israel Antiquities Authority and the University of Kentucky.
