Tribal Tempo at Gardens By the Bay.
Tribal Tempo marks the first large-scale South African floral display at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. A welcoming waterfall beckons in the centre of the floral display, where a burst of colour offers a glimpse of the wildflower fields that blossom in Namaqualand each spring. Discover the striking blooms of African fynbos (heathland), from the exquisite King Protea – the national flower of South Africa – to the elegant Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia reginae). Be intrigued by the unusual-looking Aloe Trees that take root in semi-desert karoos, as you delight in the charming rock art and animal sculptures that peek out among the flora.
The exhibits are open from 9.00am to 9.00pm at the Flower Dome from 9thSeptember to 30th October 2016, and is best viewed during daylight hours. In the evenings, you might like to visit the Supertrees area that has been decked out with Chinese lanterns, with a dazzling light and musical display, to mark the Mid-Autumn Festival from 3rd to 18th September 2016.
