Teenager Blinded By Acid Attack Walks at New York Fashion Week Runway.

WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT. 19 year-old Reshma Bano Qureshi shielded her sister when she was attacked with sulphuric acid by her brother-in-law and his friends in 2014. She decided to fight the battle of hundreds of other acid attack survivours, and ever since has been leading India’s campaign against the sale of acid in India and rehabilitation programme for other survivours. Reshma has been associated with the NGO ‘Make Love Not Scars’, and has represented the global initiative, #EndAcidSale. Two years after the life-changing assault, missing an eye and her faced disfigured, she is all ready to walk the ramp at the prestigious New York Fashion Week, organised by FTL Moda, a New York-based production house. What a courageous girl!
