Cherry Blossoms at Gardens By the Bay
Spring has arrived in Singapore, with cherry blossoms at their height at the Flower Dome. The exhibits will be on display to Sunday 27th March. The spell-bounding variety, with pastel shades of pink, red, and white, pervades the central display area. Walk through the paths appreciating the strands of delicate flowers in full bloom in a traditional Japanese garden setting, amidst soft background Taiko drum beats. It is particularly relaxing with not too many visitors early in the morning; the conservatories open their doors at 9.00am daily. A small section of bonsai trees round off the exhibits. Of course, there are other beautiful spring flowers to appreciate too, including the cacti enclosures, as new exhibits are being added through the year.
