The brain’s ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections throughout life is not a new subject, but has been known for some time. We also now know that the neurochemistry of our brains can be altered and improvements made in areas of our thought processes thus impacting our emotional outcomes. Neuroplasticity allows the neurons (nerve cells) in the brain to compensate for injury and disease and to adjust their activities in response to new situations or to changes in their environment.
