To Be Compassionate

The practice of compassion is not a natural human trait, and it is often muddled with pity and judging the other. Compassion arises out of our own deep gratitude to God for His lovingkindness to us despite our propensity to sin, and the intimacy we had cultivated in His presence. To be compassionate is to express with unconditional love a closeness we seek to be with others; to be totally identified with them.
