What is happening around our world is perplexing and at times horrifying. In the relative inviolability and safety of our own homes and countries, especially away from the daily savagery of man’s inhumanity to man in the exploitation and disenfranchising of large groups of people to internecine wars and terror-instigated conflicts, whether perpetrated by governments or factions, we cannot escape the immediate reality of these appalling news events brought to us instantly through the internet, social media, and modern television transmission. As the events are disconcertingly unfolding before us, so must our prayer and intercession to God on behalf of our fellowmen, whether friends or foe.
